Salt Water Flies Part II
Here are a few more:
Salt Water flies
In preparation for our winter in the Florida Keys, I’ve been busy creating salt water flies for the first time. Check these out:
All my fishing lure jewelry is on sale.
Since we’ve been back, we’ve been busy putting the fishing jewelry on my Etsy site. We have everything on end-of-summer sale. Check it out!
Fishing in Colorado
What a great summer. We took the RV and heading west like we’ve done the last few years to see family and to fish for some brown or
rainbow trout in Colorado. This year the state had record snowfall and spring rains that made the rivers run wild. Everything was high. I fished the Yampa in Steamboat, Stagecoach Reservoir, Blue River, Jefferson Lake, Michigan Creek and numerous spots along the Arkansas River. Not the best picture of me here, but the Arkansas flies by behind me. Even though the water ran at record speed and high, I still had a ball getting my line wet.
59th Annual Fairhope Arts & Crafts Festival
It’s the last art show on our winter circuit before we head home. We left Florida after two beautiful months to visit Alabama for this weekend’s show: the Fairhope Arts & Crafts Fair. My booth is on Fairhope Avenue and the weather is gorgeous.
Fishing Jewelry Shows in March in the Florida Keys!
Historic Schooner Wharf Bar in Key West hosts an open air and music fest the first Saturday in March. We’re there with our fishing lure jewelry and will also be at the Marathon Seafood Festival March 12-13!
Upcoming shows in Key West!
This weekend, February 19-21, is the 75th anniversary of the Key West Botanical Garden and it’s hosting a gala. Part of the weekend’s events includes “natured themed” crafts, so we’ll have the fishing jewelry there.
February 26-27 is Old Island Days Art Show on Whitehead in Key West, where I’ll have my art,
including this new piece:
Big Pine Key Nautical Market, January 22 – 23, 2011
Our second show selling the fishing jewelry is this weekend at the Big Pine Key Chamber of Commerce grounds (MM31). The Nautical Market will have everything nautical, plus seafood and music. Hours are 8 am to 2 pm Saturday and Sunday.
Key West Seafood Festival January 15, 2011
Last year we came to the Florida Keys and just exhibited at art shows, which I will do again in 2011. However, after attending seafood festivals and nautical markets, we decided to bring the fishing jewelry too.
Our first show in 2011 will be the Key West Seafood Festival this Saturday in Bayview Park (right off Truman Avenue, Highway 1). Come on down to what I hope will be a great party.
If you can’t make it to the southern most city in the United States, you can still browse through the fishing lure inspired jewelry online!
River Arts Fest 2010
I’m in Memphis this weekend, October 23 & 24th, exhibiting at the River Arts Fest. The show hours are 10-6 both days and my booth is on St. Paul Street on the corner of South Main. Hop a trolley and come on down!
